On May 30, the “National Top 100 Science and Technology Innovation Index Report 2019” was released in Beijing. The event announced China’s technically most innovative institutions, including 100 companies, 30 universities and 30 research institutes. SWPU was listed among China’s top 30 technically innovative universities.
Jia Jingdun, director of Science and Technology Department Torch Hi-Tech Industry Development Center, Han Xiucheng, National Intellectual Property Administration Intellectual (CNIPA) Property Development and Research Center, Liu Yadong, editor-in-chief of Science and Technology Daily, Han Jun, vice-general evaluator at National Center for Science & Technology Evaluation, and Wang Qinli, deputy director of Research and Development Office, Ministry of Education Science and Technology Development Center, attended the event.
Sun Yutao, who is responsible for the National Top 100 Science and Technology Innovation Index Report 2019, gave an overall introduction to the background, significance and highlights of the index. According to Sun, the data comes from the official website of WIPO and CNIPA. The collection, composition and the design of the system of relevant indices are oriented by objectiveness, clarity, sustaining availability and clear focuses, which ensures the stability and authority of the research.
