Recently, the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) released the list of source journals in 2019-2020. Petroleum, a journal sponsored by SWPU, was selected as CSCD Core Journal.

Founded in 1989, CSCD is the largest and the most authoritative science citation index database in China, with its source journals dynamically selected every two years, known as China’s SCI. With quantitative evaluation and experts’ judgement, the database has selected 1230 source journals for the year 2019-2020, with 229 English journals and 1001 Chinese journals published in China. The source journals of CSCD are divided into two parts: the core library with 908 journals, and the extended library with 322 journals.
