On the afternoon of March 14, Cui Fan, secretary-general of the Russian-Chinese Culture, Education, Science and Technology Development Foundation, and Zhou Xiaoding, president of Zhongtuo Co. Ltd., visited SWPU. Vice President Zhang Liehui and Cui Fan exchanged ideas on the joint training of talents, the development of joint laboratories, and the holding of high-level international academic forums.

“Southwest Petroleum University has long-term, stable, efficient and pragmatic cooperation and exchanges with Russian universities and academic institutions,” said Zhang, “I hope new achievements in the cooperation between Russian universities and us can be made with the help of the Russian-Chinese Culture, Education, Science and Technology Development Foundation.”

Cui said, “The Russian-Chinese Culture, Education, Science and Technology Development Foundation was established in 2001. For almost 20 years, the foundation has established good cooperative relationship with the Ministry of Education of China, the Chinese Embassy in Russia, as well as domestic government organizations and universities. The cooperation includes sino-foreign joint education programs, educational communication and cooperation, technological innovation, and transfer of technology achievements. Visiting Southwest Petroleum University this time, I hope to build a bridge to promote deeper inter-university cooperation between the two countries in energy and related fields.”

Afterwards, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on specific details of the cooperation between SWPU and the Moscow State Mining University, the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, etc., the establishment of joint laboratories, the transfer of technology achievements, and the holding of high-level international forums.” (Yang Yufeng)
