On March 8, SWPU and Technical University of Clausthal, Germany jointly held the Energy Development Academic Forum. More than 10 experts exchanged opinions on issues relating to the development of energy.
SWPU vice president Zhang Liehui welcomed the coming of experts at TU-Clausthal. Zhang said, “SWPU and TU-Clausthal have a good cooperative relationship, and have established a long-term friendship. It is hoped that this forum will further enhance the relationship between the two universities. Alfons Esderts, vice president of TU-Clausthal agreed. He said, “Our cooperation is very enjoyable and we hope to attain more achievements.”
In the forum, Prof. Wolfgang Busch and Prof. Sven Hartmann from TU-Clausthal gave presentation on Remote Sensing Measurement and Big Data Analytics and Scalable Query Answering in Networks, respectively. Associate Prof. Wei Na and Prof. Wang Guorong from SWPU gave presentation on New Exploration Technology of Marine Natural Gas Hydrate and Present Situation and Research Progress of Deep Water Engineering Technology and Equipment in China—Natural Gas Hydrate (NGH) and Mineral, respectively.
After the forum, members of the delegation of TU-Clausthal visited the natural gas hydrate laboratory and expressed their willingness to cooperate in natural gas hydrate exploration technology.
Attending this academic forum are also Prof. Norbert Meyer, Prof. Hou Zhengmeng, Dr. Georg Ebertshäuser, assistant researcher Feng Wentao, and exchange students Philipp Kurczinski and Fabienne Fischer from TU-Clausthal, and associate professors Xiao Wenlian and Jia Hu from SWPU.
