Zhang Liehui, vice President of Southwest Petroleum University proposed three expectations and requirements for the international students: The first is to respect the differences-- students from all corners of the world can study Chinese culture and deeply understand the unique charm of Chinese civilization on the basis of respecting cultural differences, and strive to become the messenger of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries; The second is to respect the manners-- there is an old saying in China that goes Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards, so students should abide by Chinese laws and regulations, school rules and regulations, as well as social morality, and should also respect cultures and religious beliefs of different countries and nationalities to jointly build a harmonious atmosphere in this international campus; The third is to respect time-- every student should cherish the learning time in Southwest Petroleum University, adapt to the environment as soon as possible, study hard and work diligently, and especially learn Chinese well and strive to improve professionalism.
