The Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation has recently announced the list of the 16^th Higher Institution Young Lecturer Prize winners and Young Lecturer Foundation Project Sponsorship. SWPU’s Dr. Zhou Ying and Dr. Wu Yuanpeng were awarded the second prize of Young Lecturer Prize and the Young Lecturer Foundation Project Sponsorship, respectively.

This year’s award, including 5 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 80 third prizes, and 108 sponsored projects on fundamental research topics, was given to 100 outstanding young lecturers.

The Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation was established in 1986 by the Ministry of Education and Henry Fok Ying Tung, former vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a distinguished Hong Kong businessman. The Foundation aims to promote the development of education and the training of talents, and awards and sponsors young lecturers who have made outstanding achievements in teaching and researches.

The Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation’s Higher Institution Young Lecturer Prize/Young Lecturer Foundation Project Sponsorship is awarded every two years, and is one of the most recognized awards in the academic world of China.
