On the evening of October 27, the first Natural Gas Knowledge Contest of SWPU drew to a close in the Academic Report Hall of Library.

The contest was hosted by the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. Li Gao, deputy dean of the School, Liu Yonghui, deputy director of the Oil Production Institute, Prof. Wang Zhouhua from the Reservoir Development Institute, and Prof. Ma Guoguang from the Storage and Transportation Institute attended the final and served as reviewers.

The host announced the rules of the contest to 7 participating teams. And the contest was composed of required questions, rush questions, risky questions and final questions. With solid knowledge background, the battle of wisdom, chase and score rising of each other in the contest triggered rounds of exclaimation from audiences throughout the contest.

The award ceremony was held after the contest. Liao Yupeng's team won the first prize, Yu Peng and Wang Lin's teams won the second prize, and Wang Min'an, Deng Xianqiang, Gao menghua and Hu Huan's teams won the third prize.

The Natural Gas Knowledge Contest is an innovative measure to popularize the knowledge of natural gas, and encourage students to engage in the development of the natural gas and new energy industry. It is of positive significance in helping college students understand the industry's status quo, explore their career path, and strengthen their confidence in the area they are dedicated to.
