SWPU Students Won 12 First Prizes In RoboWork 2018

In April 25-29, RoboWork 2018 was held in Wuhan. SWPU sent 20 teams and won 12 national first prizes (including one national champion and one third place), 3 second prizes, and 6 third prizes, making a new record of our university’s performance in this event.

This year’s contest attracted universities from all over China and the world including more than 7,600 students and advisors in 1,674 teams from 355 universities in 29 provincies across China. The contest covered 18 categories,such as innovative design in robotic engineering, artificial intelligence, robot handling, robot racing and robot athletics and so on.

RoboWork started from 2011 and is organized by Higher Institution Innovative Teaching Guidelines Committee, Ministry of Education. Through years of development, the contest has become an influential technology competition for robotics in China.

In the contest, SWPU teams won the praise from other universities and judging experts with almost perfect performance and full spirit. After the contest, experts further communicated with our team members on technical details and innovation.
