Recently, the latest achievement of multifunctional g-C3N4/graphene oxide wrapped sponge monoliths as highly efficient adsorbent and photocatalyst was published on Applied Catalysis B: Environmental. In this work, g-C3N4/graphene oxide (GO)-wrapped sponge was successfully fabricated via a facile dipping-squeezing method followed by frozen-drying. Sponge as the framework maintains the high elasticity and reduce the cost while the cover of GO endows sponge with high conductivity to accelerate the separation of charge carriers. g-C3N4/GO-wrapped sponge shows excellent adsorption capacity and remarkable photocatalytic performance with a max No removal ratio of 45.9% as well as high CO, CH4 and H2 evolution of 42.9, 4.6 and 1.6 μmol g-1 h-1. This work provides fresh insights into the development of efficient monolithic photocatalyst for a wide range of applications.
